NEW YEAR’S EVE 2018
Austin’s New Year
The City of Austin is keeping its annual tradition alive by bringing fireworks and fun times to Auditorium Shores on Lady Bird Lake. The free festivities begin at 3 p.m. with musical performances lasting until a little after 9 p.m. There will be five stages to discover your new favorite local band for the new year and awesome food trucks.
New Year’s Eve Video Dance Party
Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas
Enjoy your own personal seat and table as if you’re at the fanciest bottle service night club in town. We’ve been throwing NYE parties at the Alamo Drafthouse for years now, and their music video DJs have got this down to a science. This year, instead of just celebrating the best hits from the past twelve months, we will be playing the best songs EVER! You’ll walk into the theater and immediately be served a glass of champagne in a commemorative glass that you get to keep! We’ll have plenty of confetti, noisemakers and party hats for you to use, and most importantly, we’re going to have one big countdown right at midnight.
NYE Dinner at Uchi
Uchi & Uchiko
Uchi and sister restaurant Uchiko will both be serving special one-night-only New Year’s menus. Uchi’s menu, at $175 per couple, will feature short rib pho with caramelized onion, seven day aged kinki, lobster yaki with caviar and charred ginger, and a bluefin otoro, alongside their normal dinner menu. Uchiko will be serving items such as scallop sashimi, blue fin nigiri, smoked whitefish potato pancakes, and more for $195 (meant to be shared between two people). Make reservations now!
Bob Schneider’s New Year’s Eve Bash
The Paramount Theatre invites you to celebrate New Year’s Eve with perennial favorite Bob Schneider. From “Tarantula” and “40 Dogs” to tracks from his latest album King Kong Vol. 3, Bob has proven time and time again why he’s one of Austin’s most beloved artists.
